“We don’t all go from now to extinction sometime after 2050 with nothing in between. We lose everything that matters to us on the
way: our homes, our community, our food, our water, our safety, our public services, our families.
“Your health service – the NHS that saved you or a loved one’s life, is vulnerable. Your schools – the education system that’s preparing your
children for the world, is vulnerable. Your shops – the supermarkets that feed your family each day, are vulnerable.” Mark Lopatin
MAKE YOUR VOICE COUNT FOR POSITIVE CHANGE!
THIS IS THE CLIMATE ELECTION
As widespread flooding washes away people’s livelihoods across the UK, wildfires rage across Australia and California and India recovers from devastating drought; the policies of those forming our government over the next 5 years are critical to our ability to mitigate the worst effects of this catastrophe. These crucial next few years will determine how well humanity comes through climate change. So we need to elect the right people to ensure that the United Kingdom acts to keep climate change at safe levels.
We need to secure a proactive government which will make certain that we are prepared for future climate over-heating, flooding, and sea level rises, almost all of which are “locked in” through past emissions which will remain in the atmosphere for decades to come. We need to protect the biodiversity which gives our life support systems stability. And we need to change things so that our environment can start to recover. When deciding how to vote, find out what your local candidates say they will do. Contact them and ask them. Here’s how to find their contact details. Candidates feed back to their parties what voters are asking for.
